What is Equine Massage?

Equine Massage is the human manipulation of strained or scarred muscle tissue to relieve pain in our equine companions.  As a certified Equine Massage therapist and Equine Hydrotherapist, I have extensive training and practice in identifying, reducing or eliminating pain.  This will help your horse improve its joint mobility, circulation, and immune system functioning.  A massage will also stimulate lymphatic drainage, reduce anxiety and eliminate tension within the muscular system.  In the end, massage will help relax the muscles and decrease recovery time of normal strain or injury.

Who needs a Massage?

Equine athletes, just like human athletes, strain and overwork their muscles while performing everyday movements.  Equine Massage increases circulation which benefits all horses.  Whether you own a horse at an Olympic competition level, ready to Run for the Roses, or your favourite aged pleasure riding companion, equine massage can greatly benefit all disciplines, ages, and breeds.  Massage greatly increases quality of life.

What is Spa Hydrotherapy?

Lower leg injuries including tendon tears, foot abcesses, navicular, laminitis(founder), and hock issues are some of the common complaints when dealing with horses.  So, if you suddenly find yourself facing one or more of these problems consider using our CEHT for a cold(32-34'F) saltwater Spa treatment.  These treatments help cut healing time in half and can virtually eliminate scaring thus ensuring a pain-free, sound future for your equine investment.
